The ConFirm Rapid Read 20 Minute Biological Monitoring System determines the efficacy of steam sterilization cycles in just 20 minutes. An enzyme-based detection system is used between the biological indicator and reader to provide the results. The ConFirm Rapid Read 20 Minute self-contained biological indicators can determine efficacy of commonly used steam sterilization cycles within 20 minutes when incubated in the ConFirm Rapid Read BI Reader. The compact, eight-well, tabletop incubator incubates and automatically reads the ConFirm Rapid Read 20 Biological Indicator (BI) and provides the results on its LCD display, eliminating the need to interpret results

Features

• 20-minute incubation time provides fast results and quick instrument turnaround
• No interpretation of the biological indicators needed as the incubator automatically provides results. Results can be reviewed easily using the well lights which indicate the following when incubation is complete
  • Green if it is negative - does not show signs of spore activity (Pass)
  • Red if it is positive - shows signs of bacterial spore activity (Failure)
• The LCD display screen on the incubator lists important incubator information, allows for adjustments in language and volume, displays remaining incubation time and final results once incubation is complete
• The incubator 8-well design provides ample space for testing multiple sterilizers and alternate wells available as needed

Intended for use of routine monitoring, qualification testings and load monitoring of the following steam sterilization cycles

• Dynamic Air Removal 270°F, 4 minutes
• Dynamic Air Removal 275°F, 3 minutes
• Gravity 250°F, 30 minutes
• Gravity 270°F, 15 minutes
